I love Reese's. My roommate Britney pronounces it ree-sees and I laugh every time... So Madyson and I went on a delicious outing to Sankai sushi today and thought we should swing by the market to get some dessert, and this is what I found:



Holy. Crap.

Reese's has done it again and I could not be more thrilled. This candy bar has about 600 calories and 36 grams of fat. But once you look past the nutritional facts label, you'll find the most delicious thing since the Reese's fast break. For those of you with any sense of self-control, this candy bar could be a blessing. It comes in break-apart squares, similar to your traditional Hershey's bar. For me, this makes no difference because I ate the entire thing in one breath.

I'd recommend it. Neil, this may be a way to get your fix without having to purchase a bag of Reese's Eggs...

Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire? I DON'T THINK SO!! Try, Harry Potter and the Golden Globes of Dodgeball! I don't mean to boast (and really, I can't, because I didn't even touch a dodgeball the entire night-- cheering is apparantly my thing), but our team dominated at the ward dodge ball tournament a few weeks ago.

It all started Friday night with a team dinner at BJ's pizza where we talked strategy and bonded over a delicious carbo-loading feast. We went to our team captain, Meredith "Luna Lovegood" Conroy's house and made Gryffindor crests and pipe-cleaner glasses for our costumes. "Harry Potter and The Prisoner of Azkaban" was the background noise and we had a great night! (Please note my unbelievably posh 'Gryffindor' themed fingernails. I am such an artist.)



Saturday night, we all hopped on our brooms and headed over to the church to begin this night of sportsmanship. There were some fierce competitors with some great costumes; I just knew it in my heart that our team looked too good not to win. Seriously though. We looked REALLY good.



After many rounds of intense catch-throw-deflect-dodge-athleticism, Team Harry Potter was deemed CHAMPION.

I feel like I do a fairly good job at expressing my love for Disneyland on a regular basis, but I don't want Mickey to think I'm an ingrate, so I'll express it again...



If I'm ever having a less-than-optimal day, all I need is a little bit of Space Mountain and a visit to the Hollywood Tower of Terror and I am set! (It helps that Madyson and I always have the BEST ghetto jam sessions on the drive to Anaheim...)



Speaking of Madyson: I love her. I spend 40+ hours a week with this lovely lady and she is LEGIT. Here's a picture of her on crack. HAHAHA!!! Just kidding. I chose this pic because I feel like it accurately displays her shared enthusiasm for D-Land.

P.S. I'm watching a show on HGTV right now and the boyfriend is about 5'6" and the girlfriend is probably 5'11". I'm not exaggerating. And they have a mean looking little puppy. A bit of a mismatch. I don't know what to think right now.

leaky faucet...

I'm going to ask for handkerchiefs for my next birthday. Seriously, what is going on here? I have been tearing up over everything lately!! I have to apologize to Jen and Jimmy. Haha-- while we were skyping yesterday I had tears running down my face probably 60% of the time. Ha! And the thing is, I'm not sad. Not one little bit. Maybe lately I just feel extra... touched... haha-- whatever it is, make it stop!

I have found so much happiness in so many little things. I get all emotional when I drive to work because I like how pretty the trees are in the road median. I'm grateful to the state of California for going into further debt to maintain the flower beds in the middle of the streets. They are amazing.

Fast and Testimony meeting yesterday was a joke. I wept the entire time.

I had a conversation with a friend the other day who said, "How do you like your house? How are your roommates?" and how embarrassing-- I just cried and told him how much I loved my amazing roomies; I was like, overwhelmed with love.

Sometimes a song on Pandora will pop up that I really like and I just get so happy my eyes start to get misty. What the freak?

DO THEY PRESCRIBE A PILL FOR THIS?! I swear I didn't cry for like a solid two years in college. I was this phenomenal stone heart. I should've been at the center of someone's psych study because I was so.... not sensitive? Anyway, there has GOT to be a happy median... Hopefully I'll find it before I flood the streets with my tears of joy.

I love when people call milk "MELK"... stoopid idjuts... Just kidding. Kinda...

So. There are a few things in life that make me sick to my stomach:

1. Watching someone else's neck being super exposed (Example: Phantom of the Opera, right as they're getting into the "Past the Point of No Return" before the medley... If you have sung the medley with me before, you know exactly where this is. Christine's head is tilted back and the Phantom goes to touch it...) Gives me the shivers just thinking about it. Seriously.

2. The smell of browning hamburger.

3. Watching people drink the leftover milk at the bottom of their cereal bowl.




The last is what I would like to comment on today. MILK.

I know better than anyone that I am doomed for osteoporosis. I've never been a milk drinker and all the calcium has been leached out of my bones due to a minor diet coke addiction from 2004-2009. I'm assuming the occassional strawberry/chocolate Nestle Quik experiences don't count. I don't like how milk coats the glass. I don't like how elementary kids smell like milk. I just don't like it at all.

The only time I really consume milk is in a shake or over cereal. However, I do eat my cereal with a fork so all the milk gets strained... so maybe that doesn't qualify as "consumption".

MELK. Yuk city.
