frenz.

Hi.

Ever get the feeling that you don't know which way is up? That (despite your efforts) you can't seem to get all your ducks in a row? Welcome to my brain for the last month.

Nothing makes me miss missionary life more than this. Life where you don't worry about housing, jobs, finances, transportation... It's a dream!

Normal people life, however, is a different story. I don't seek sympathy; I understand that no one is exempt from making big decisions, but seriously-- being grown-up is the worst.

I wanna go back to the days of care-free living. The days of.... college.

Yesterday, I was given a little reminder of what it was like to be back in school and it was the best!

I love the feeling you get when you spend time with old friends. I went to Ogden to go see my college friends, Berto and Kavon, and Missy met me up there. These two white girls looove our favorite ethnics. :)

Brief ode to Missy:

Meet Missy. She's dreamy. Missy and I met my senior year of college through Aggiettes. One morning after practice we discussed our thirst for a nice, cold Diet Coke, and hopped in the car to head to Einstein's Bagels. (Yet another example as to how DC brings people together. People don't bond over Pepsi products, btw). We ate breakfast and chatted a little bit about chicks and cars and lifting weights and selling security and stuff... Okay, not quite, but that's where it all began. We became such great friends throughout that school year. It's funny how tightly-knit a friendship can become in a short amount of time. For Valentine's day, we baked heart-shaped chocolate cakes... for ourselves. For Spring Break, we hussied over Reno, NV in the classiest way. After graduation, I had about a month left before my work was going to end and I needed a place to stay-- enter: Paul and Jill. I was adopted into the Mo family and lived in the basement. Missy and I would attempt to go running, eat healthy, lay out, save money; all these things resulting in failure. It was such a great time of life. I love her.

Missy came to visit me in California the following year for Valentine's Day. I realize this is starting to look a little fishy... it's not. We celebrated by going to DisneyLand and then to Hooter's. Duh, what other way do you celebrate Valentine's?

I'm so grateful for all my friends, old and new. I'm glad that I've been blessed with diverse friends. They come from different parts of the world, different family situations, different religions, different cultures, different ages... But they're all my friends.

And if it wasn't for my friends, I'd die.

Okay, that's dramatic. But seriously, I have good friends. In times like these, where I'm struggling to get the ducks in a row, friends come in reaallllll handy to offer up some comic relief.

luhewegyze. (luh-ewe-gyze). love you guys.
